		<description>First, I am sorry these two children died.  The one spoken of in the story was apparently dead in a week of onset of symptoms.  It sounded like the congenital defect and UTI were the direct cause and waiting a week, for any reason, would have the same result.  I grieve for the loss to our would that this death means.

Second, as a Pentecostal Christian, I support the maximum imprisonment of any parent who allows belief in faith healing lead to neglect of health for the child.  Neglecting the health of one&#039;s child for reasons of religious faith is unacceptable and should be punished.  As an adult, if I choose to take that risk for me, fine - I am adult.  But no medical attention should be witheld from a child.

Third, in this case, the teen was legally permitted to make this decision in that state&#039;s jurisdiction so the beliefs of the parents is irrelevant.</description>
